The United Nations established the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on 16 th October, 1945 with the main purpose of achieving global food security and defeating hunger. Every year, the 16 th of October is celebrated as the World Food Day to honour the establishment of the FAO. The theme of World Food Day, 2020 is “Grow, nourish, sustain. Together.” This theme is mainly relevant to the current COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the health and well-being of the world’s population. Through the celebration of the World Food Day 2020, the FAO calls upon each country to do their best to ensure food security and provide sustainable healthy diets to all.
At Kanti Sweets, we have contributed towards this goal by producing health-based variants of commonly available sweets, savouries and bakery products. The various products available are: Fresh fruit-based fruits (such as Kaju Pine, Kaju Pine Apple), Dry fruit-based sweets (such as Anjeer Dry Fruit Burfi, Kaju Anjeer Sandwich), Fruit-based sweets (such as Pineapple Burfi, Mango Burfi), Zero-sugar sweets (such as Zero-sugar Laddu, Zero-sugar Katli) and Digestive biscuits (such as Jeera biscuits, Ajwain biscuits) etc. The demand for consumption of immunity booster foods has increased in the current pandemic situation, owing to the need of the hour. We have successfully introduced two special sweets to promote consumer health and immunity namely, Spirulina Nutra-Chikki and Spirulina Nutberry. These innovative products definitely serve the dual purpose of providing immunity and flavour in a single sweet delight!
